I'm a senior technology leader based in the UK with decades of experience building software, leading teams, and trying to make workplaces better for everyone. I'm currently co-authoring Bad Bosses Ruin Lives with Step It Up HR, building the BAT employee experience framework, and hosting the Corey-osity Unleashed podcast.
The Longer Version
I've spent my career at the intersection of technology and people. I've been a developer, an architect, a CTO, and everything in between. Along the way, I've learned that the hardest problems in software aren't technical — they're human.
That insight led me to co-found work with Step It Up HR, where we're tackling the epidemic of bad management head-on. Our research found that 99.5% of survey respondents said they've had one or more types of bad bosses. That's not a statistic — it's a crisis. Our book explains why it happens and what managers can do about it.
